Summer Being

This project started as an attempt to document my life as I navigated through taxing changes and transitions, as I awaited an exciting new life. I started to realize, through the process of photographing myself and looking closely at how I represent and conceptualize my own image, that the act of these photographs stood as a statement of my presence in that moment, proof that it existed and my acknowledgement that I experienced it, no matter how much I wanted it to pass, or forget that it happened. I realized the freedom of experiencing the present, noticing myself and how I progress through time as it passes.
