In Uvita, Costa Rica, thousands gathered upon the shore to celebrate Envision Festival this February. Part of the breed of Consciousness Festival that seeks to inspire change in a communally creative and meaningful way, Envision incorporates awareness and spirit into each aspect of this music drenched experience. A commitment to environmental change was evident throughout the festival and in the days leading up to it with the establishment of Permaculture Action Day- inviting participants to plant gardens for local schools among many other proactive contributions.
Live music included Phaeleh, The Polish Ambassador, and Emancipator to name just a few from their extensive lineup. Workshops ranged from horticulture to hip hop with Elena Meta Jaroff. Yoga, ecstatic dance, and mindfulness galore.
Located on the beach, the ocean lay just a few feet away, making for a beautiful opportunity to indulge in sea and sand. Daily excursions brought attendees to nearby waterfalls and horseback riding expeditions, encouraging connection with the land itself.
In its 5th year, Envision Festival marked a beautiful moment in time for the 4,200 attendees who journeyed from around the world and locally to Uvita, Costa Rica specifically to be a part of this SOLD OUT mindfulness extravaganza. Founder Matt Seigel reminds all that it was never meant to stop with the end of the music,
"Our driving motivation for creating this space is not just for one week of celebration each winter, but for the potential positive impact that each of our attendees can in turn spread to their own communities throughout the world. We’d like to remind our attendees that Envision is not designed to be the solution, but to provide a platform for demonstration, education and authentic interpersonal connection that will inspire you to be the change you wish to see in the world.”
A noble goal indeed.
Thank you, Envision, for igniting the flames that will fuel a better tomorrow as your invitation to imagine continues to reverberate change on a global level.
