Afropunk Festival defies the stereotype that black culture is something that can be “defined.” The weekend brings together a multitude of people overflowing with individuality; musically, artistically and stylistically.
The talent at Afropunk this year included a wide range of musical goodness including artists like British singer/songwriter Lianne La Havas, Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, SZA, MeShell Ndegeocello, Alice Smith, Tecla and many more.
One of the many highlights of Afropunk is the musical talent brought to the stage each year but just as important is the style of its attendees. The eclectic presence is breathtaking, highlighting the fact that black is indeed beautiful. Enter the Afropunk experience and see for yourself.
